Just wondering if anyone is picking up the new games Centipede Infestation, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, or Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure?

I'm really interested in Centipede and might pick it up for the $30 asking price.

Kirby I might wait awhile on because most reviews say it is as easy, if not easier, than Epic Yarn. A price drop might convince me.

Skylanders really looks interesting and I'm tempted. But I'm not sure if the game is $70 (plus all the additional money for extra's) worth of interesting.

Just wondering what others think.

Kirby couldn't possibly be easier than epic yawn.

You can die in this one.

I don't think I have ever played a challenging [traditional] Kirby game.

I played a bit of Return to Dreamland and it's been a lot of fun so far. Haven't completed the first world though, so I can't comment on difficulty really. It's been a lot like Super Star so far, though.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror got kinda chalenging, well, when it came to the final boss. and it took me FOREVER and a day to beat that 100%. Its a great game. with freeroaming.

Does the new Kirby game have the "Guide" like Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. Wii had? I'm referring to the part where if you make a few mistakes, the game will ask you if you want the computer to take over and get you thru a level?

Here is a link to the first 40min of Centipede Infestation:

Question: are the animated cut scenes new or are they from a Centipede cartoon show that may have aired years ago? Just curious.

Unfortunately, the game's so mind-numbingly easy, you won't need it. :( I played some more last night and got bored after four levels. There are some great gameplay mechanics in it, but the stages are just so simple and sparse, with little to punish you for making a mistake.

Good to hear that you enjoy the game!

I've already been informed by family members that the "DO NOT Buy Anything From Now Until Christmas" ban on casual purchases (movies, games, books, music, etc) is in effect so I've put Centipede and Kirby on my Christmas wish list.

i bought both Centipede and Kirby a week ago and i finally unwrapped Centipede and gave it a go. it's okay. it's MUCH better than that godawful Haunted House reboot.

my Kirby is still untouched. i'm trying to play one game at a time so i don't lose interest/focus. that's what sucks about when stuff goes on sale and i go crazy at the store. some of the games will sit in my house for weeks unopened! i still have Aliens: Infestation (DS) to bust out too!

since i can't edit the above post, i'd like to add that i've blasted through the first 23 levels (+3 bosses) of Centipede: Infestation. It's ironically tedious and fun at the same time.

now that i've gotten better, i need to go back to some earlier levels to replace the silver medal with a gold one. i think you can't get hit more than twice. you have 9 hit points per round. gold medals unlock different characters and outfits for your characters. seems like the main guy and girl have 4 outfits each, then there's other silhouettes of people i haven't gotten to yet. one of them looks like... nevermind that's probably a spoiler.

one thing i'd like to mention is the dialogue is hard to hear. you can crank up the voices in the options menu as well as turn on subtitles. the story gets really cheesy at times, and there are references to other Atari games. so far i've heard about Missile Command and Warlords. LOL.

there are a total of 17 different achievements in the game; 5 of them pertain to gold medals, 5 of them pertain to racking up a score, 1 is for clearing the game, and the rest are for various tasks such as not upgrading your gun for an entire level.

i have 11/17 of them at level 24.

there are at least 40 levels. i'm going to guess 40 actual levels and 5 boss levels. i'm not sure yet but it seems that way.

ok, break's over, it's time for another few levels to run through!
