Since I can't find the topic I did last, I'm starting a new one and starting from scratch. Here's a picture as well as a binary file you can play with.

I was just playing this, I almost beat the first level too! Great job! I look forward to seeing further development on this game!

I forgot to mention, if you press fire, you can fire a torpedo. Anyway, I spent a few hours making title screen music for the game. I used the Jimi Hendrix song "1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be)." I had to change a few notes due to the fact that there were some missing in the Atari 2600's sound library. Anyway, the title screen song goes on for almost 4 minutes before it loops back again. I tried to stay truthful to the first 4 minutes of the song (the original is over 13 minutes long, half of it being weird noises). I also put in a lives counter and a level number as well as a score (10 points for each octopus you shoot.) Anyway, I'm done with this for today. I'll pick up where I left off tomorrow. It's almost 10pm where I am.

Added and changed a few more levels. Hope it's easier. I also added a level select at the beginning with left and right. Right now there are only 4 levels to choose from. I don't know how many will be in the final game.

OK, this problem I'm having sucks. It says "possible duplicate label l015 d2ec" So I open the asm file and search for l015. Everything seems normal. What am I missing? I don't know what the d2ec part is, though, so maybe I'm checking the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

Add the following to the top of your basic...

 dim player0score = lifepointer
 dim player1score = lives

...CurtisP's code defines these, but because you use them before dasm parses his code, it's causing problems.
