I have a 7800 that I got off of craigslist, while the person said he had everything and it works, he gave me the wrong power adapter for the system. It is an atari power adapter, but it is circular at the end which tells me it is for an atari 2600, probably jr. Now, while I have texted him and he said we will get together so that I can get the correct one from him, it has been 3 wks and I am getting VERY IMPATIENT to use my 7800. That being said, is it possible to use an adapter from a 2600 or another system or to just buy one of those adapters from Radio Shack and make it work with the 7800 or not?

I would love to figure out how to use some another adapter as well. Genesis would be great. However I'm not seeing it very easily possible as that 7800 end looks like a pain. I have two systems myself that have no power.

The 7800 uses a two-pin polarized connector that's not common in consumer electronics. There's an article at http://saundby.com/a...0_powermod.html about adding your own connector to allow use of more standard power supplies.
