This is a pain in the butt and it started after the forum was upgraded.

For example, whenever I want to update the Arcade/MAME HSC leader board, I will copy the score from the respective player's post and paste it into post #1. Whenever I paste the score into the post it will then immediately send my cursor to the bottom of the edit window. I will then have to scroll back up to the text that was pasted.

Using Google Chrome

That's odd. I am also using Chrome in OS X and just tried to paste some text into the middle of this post and it doesn't move my cursor to the end. What OS are you using? I assume Windows, and I can try to reproduce the issue there. If I can reproduce it, I can file a bug and see if Invision can fix it.

Thanks,

..Al

See if there's any difference editing a longer post - like maybe go to the Arcade/MAME HSC for BurgerTime and see pasting under the leader board section jumps the cursor to the bottom of the edit window.

It doesn't seem like it can be reproduced on short posts.

I see, it looks like it's scrolling the edit window to the bottom, although the cursor is still at the end of the text that was pasted. This does force you to have to scroll back up to find the content you pasted. Is that what you're experiencing?

Well, after some digging I can confirm that this is a known bug in the editor.

Bug report on Invision's site:

http://community.inv...-after-pasting/

Bug report on CKEditor site:

http://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/5549

Looks like a patch to the editor has been submitted, but I have no idea how long it'll take for them to release a new version of the editor, and then Invision needs to incorporate that version into IP.Board and release an updated version. I wouldn't hold your breath, unfortunately. It does look to be a Chrome-specific issue, though, so you could use another browser. I also use Chrome as my primary browser, so stuff like this is a bit annoying.

Just wanted to say that I experience this too while at work, albeit in Internet Explorer 8. I don't believe I have the same issue at home, where I use Chrome.
