For those of you that have the trackball, I was wondering how well it works. I know that I like the way it looks and would like to own one to use, but I wondered if they were reliable. I have heard that they break easily, like the joysticks, but on here it seems like everyone really likes them. Also was wondering how much is a realistic price for one. I see them on ebay for about $40-$50 plus shipping.

Thanks all

I've had mine since it was new, worked great when I was a kid... but as time went by it started to stick more and more... im sure it just needs a good cleaning though and it'll be back to its original glory... as for pricing like I said got mine new straight outta the 80s... well my dad did, I wasn't born quite yet, haha

They are definitely built better than the stock controller. I had to oil the bearings for it to roll accurately, and clean the fire buttons for them to work every time, but it was easy and worth it. This should be done about every thirty years so you might get one that is due for some maintenance.
I bet you can get one for 25 to 40 bucks.

Got mine with the system on ebay so don't don't know what it is worth. Never had one as a kid. The one I got was rusty inside but still good shape outside. Not a bad toy. And also the keypad is more reliable as no flex circuit inside. So better for use with wico for y cable for example. Anyhow vertigo do you remember what it originally costed back in the 80 just curious?
