OK taking up McKong's suggestion we have the all time classic:
Donkey Kong
and one of the best new games:
Jewel Bits (v1.1 - the abbuc disks came with 1.0)
Above links have DK ROM and JBits XEX. Fandal has DK and JB v1.1 XEXs

To play Jewel Bits (XE/XE only) make a line of 3+ of the same jewels for them to disappear and the background changes colour. To do this click on a jewel and then move stick towards another one. More pieces fall from the top to fill the gaps. Complete a level by painting the whole background this way. On later levels... wait... you can figure it out [Select=Pause] [Option=Toggle Music]

Bonus Points:
JB:
- 1pt for completing the game
DK:
- Level 1 Highest score in 1 man (the first two boards) 3pts for 1st, 2pts for 2nd, 1pt for others.
- Beating HSC record of 195,500 held by atariksi, 1pt

Standard Scoring for both games

Games Close Sunday 4th Dec 10am GMT

Hopefully I'll be up and running soon and will get tables updated (even if I have to go back to the library with the local crazies) Can anyone stop McKong and Bluecat from winning this round ? (ok Scalak probably can )

I think the original relase didn't have an end screen; v1.1 has more level shapes and more bonus for the timer so completing the levels quickly pays dividends. Press Select to Pause or Option to toggle the Music.
Now you have more time to get up to speed at Donkey Kong, trust me you'll need it!!!!

I got it to work on the atari800winplus tho.

Seems ok with al altirra on my PC... PAL or NTSC - how far do you get?

I just get a black screen on altirra

My first go at this one i got a whopping 696 points!
I need more practice at this game.


Edit - just got it to play.
I had to change the Firmware setting.

Glad to see Jewel bits on HSC !

About Jewel bits, last version is 1.1.
Here you can gain more points per free time level saved. You need to finish as soon as possible the level for more points. And this is the unique difference with version 1.0.
There are 36 levels on total.
On future (when i have a free time) I'll fix the music bug and create a 1.2 version, but the rest of game will be the same.

Congratulations to Scalak and Justin Case, you passed my high score of 53000 approximately
