Click on a tag in the tag list in a blog, and it just re-loads the entire blog, ignoring the tag.

Categories appear to still be working. Unfortunately, I'm not using those.

Okay... now they're broken worse.

Before, they didn't sort anything. Now, they return search results from the Forums. But for some reason, this only happens in my blog.

It doesn't matter which browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) or whether I'm logged in or not.

This is really about the last straw with the blog software here. I'm this close (holding finger and thumb very closely together) to packing up my blog and moving it somewhere else.

Annnnd it won't let me add a tag to a new entry, either.

More fun.

As above, if I click on the tag "Comic Strips" in the side bar:

more blog fun 1.png

I get this:

more blog fun 2.png

Which of course, is wrong.

But if I click on the tag "Comic Strips" within a post that has that tag:

more blog fun 3.png

I get this:

more blog fun 4.png

Which is even more wrong.

Maybe I should've posted that I thought the blogs looked ugly... then maybe I would've gotten a response. :ponder:

Still broken.

Still no response.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Is it affecting anyone else's blog?

Has Invision been made aware of this?

I'm really hesitant to post any more blog entries, because I feel like Invision could roll out another "update" tomorrow, and hose everything all over again. (Besides that - I can't tag any of the entries anyway, which is one of the "features" blogs are supposed to have.)

Not that it will get fixed either, but I thought I'd also point out that comments in blogs are periodically being posted in a very broken state.

I'll reiterate a request I made before regarding blogs: that it would show the last ten most recent comments in the sidebar, instead of five. I keep clicking on the dot next to cd-w's blog that indicates an unread comment, and it keeps bringing me to the end of a thread I've already read. Somewhere, some comment was posted in some other entry, and then five more were posted since then, and I have no way of digging up what the other unread comment was. All I can do to "fix" it, is now mark his blog as read.

Oh right... there's no way to mark a single blog as read. Apparently. Unless I'm missing something painfully obvious.

But that would imply Invision used good interface design. So... I doubt that's the case.

There are new versions of the forum software and blog available, which I will update to soon. Don't expect any major changes, just a whole slew of bug fixes. My understanding is the Blog is due for a major revision now that the Forum and Gallery have had them in the last year.

Bug fixes would count as a major change.
