I didn't own a computer in 1983. I think I was too busy being born or something like that.

...yay for responding to a topic which has been dead for over half a month.

And making everyone else involved feel really fecking old in the process, ta for that. =-)

Computer Brand and Model
The computer you were using during 1982/1983 , When did you get it? (e.g., 1979 which could be before 82,83)
1980 Atari 400 + 410 + B&W TV w BASIC & Star Raiders
1981 48K upgrade + 810 drive
1982 Sinclair ZX81 kit w 1K
1983 Atari 800 + 192K + 1702 monitor
1983 ATR-8000 w CP/M

Did you had a modem? If yes, what applications were you using (if you remember)
1981 Ciarcia modem kit modified to connect directly to SIO
Wrote DT-80 to communicate through SIO and display 80 columns

Printer?
1983 EPSON MX-80 (or was it RX or FX?) connected directly to joystick ports, then later to ATR-8000

from your friends of that time, if they had a computer, which computer was that one (at least brand) ?
Earlier friends had Homebrew 8008, Altair, Apple II, Exidy Sorcerer, IBM-PC.
Most friends in CHAOS club in 1982 had Ataris, one had Sinclair ZX80.

Country?
USA

if you were in school, what grade? (1-12) or college? or working? or retired? :)
Graduated college 1982. Worked for 3 companies programming or selling Ataris.

ATARI 400

Same here with a cassette player, when price dropped to $100 IIRC. I think it was 1982? Just to play Star Raiders! Great memories!
