Can the Game Genie for the original Gameboy system be used on the Gameboy Advance system?

Thanks.

with original GB or GB+GBC carts, yes. but you have to be VERY careful with it as it was designed for the fat original gameboy. one wrong slight tilt and the contacts will move, resulting in a fry.

you're better off getting a grey brick to use your game genie.

Got a source for this? I won't argue that it's easy to knock the cart off the contacts, but the chance of anything 'frying' are nearly non-existent. Your game will stop though. Worst case is a corruption of battery saves.

Thanks for the replies. I have both the regular Gameboy Advance and the SP model. Does one work better than the other with the Gameboy Gmae Genie?

Do what I do, and not cheat. :P. But the SP is my GB/GBC/GBA system of choice.

What about the good ol' Action Replay for the GBA itself? Any compatible GB codes on there?

Not that I know of, I personally use the gameshark for gbc, it has codes for regular game boy games as well and fits much better in my gba sp,
