I found one on Craigslist and waiting to here back to see if it's still available, but I might as well ask the question anyway. It appears to be in good shape minus the stand like most I've seen before. He says everything works except that the picture shows up then goes away. Is there a timer circuit in these things that could be resetting it? I know my N64 kiosk has one that will reset after a certain amount of time. He wants $150, which I think is pretty high with the picture going out.

The NES had timers, and as you say, the N64 had a timer, so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that the SNES had one also. I'd say $150 is a decent enough price.
