i've been searching for the Game+Controller+CD bundle at a normal (non-inflated) price online and at stores since Black Friday. nothing.

yesterday i was in the local mall's GameStop and asked if they had any more LoZ-SS bundles left. he looked at me like i was stupid, and with a smirk told me "heh, no that was a pre-order only". i was going to look around and actually buy something from the store, but his facial expression and mannerism had me so pissed off that i wanted to punch him in his geeky little acne face and i left to store. my wife was surprised that i was waiting for HER outside of some store she goes to.

today, my local Wal-Mart had three copies in stock. i'm not sure if they were returns or part of a missing shipment from Black Friday, but i crapped my pants a little nonetheless. this 30-year-old salt-and-pepper-haired jackass RAN to the counter to get the guy with the key to open the case for me. i'm waiting for the wifeypoo to go to work tonight before i bust it open. i don't want any interruptions when i start playing this.

so yeah, screw GameStop and WOO HOO!!!!

nice find! I ordered it from amazon, but since we only get mail once a month (I'm in Kinshasa and it has to be couriered over), and our December shipment has been cancelled due to security concerns, I won't be able to tear into it until the first week of February. In other words, I am jealous Enjoy!

I like my story (and Gamestop experience) much better.

I couldn't find a bundle anywhere post Black Friday. Made phone call after phone call after phone call and nothing. Then I decided, in complete desperation, to call my local Gamestop (which I had checked the day before and was told that they didn't have any left in stock). Girl answered and said that they had two. I gave my name and she promised to hold them for a few minutes until I could get there.

Long story short, I got there and we struck up a conversation. It was right at closing time and she was just about to clock out herself, and I was the last customer. I picked up the next-to-the-last copy and, since the 48-hour wait had lifted, she intended to pick up the second copy left. We stood there and talked for a few minutes about Zelda and how crazy Black Friday shopping was, holidays, etc. etc. etc. Kinda cute, and really friendly.

Anyways, long story short, I got my bundle. Got her number, too.
