The more I'm reading about the recent 3DS firmware update, along with changes to Club Nintendo and the e-Shop, the more I'm amazed at how much Nintendo is changing its entire gaming outlook.

Just some of the changes that are now in place that were a looong time coming:

1) Full transfer of digital purchases from one 3DS to another 3DS

2) If you are a Club Nintendo member, you can now buy downloadable games for the 3DS with the coins you earn. As an example, Super Mario Kart is 100 coins.... the amount for registering two Wii titles.

3) 3rd party 3DS titles can now be registered for coins at Club Nintendo.

4) e-Shop purchases via credit card are now for the exact amount of the purchase. No more buying $5, $10, $20 worth of points or having your CC hit for $5 on a $2.99 purchase.

I'm impressed with the changes that Nintendo is making and maybe the slow start of the 3DS has opened their eyes to better ways of doing business.

In Europe we've been able to to buy wii points cards with club Nintendo stars since December 07
400 stars to 100 points, stars per game depends on price (<£26 = 100, £26-43 = 200 >£43 = 250)

Good going Nintendo. I'm still not sold on the 3DS. Probably never will be unless they release an XL version.

Great changes! Perfect timing too, as I am looking at getting the Zelda 3DS bundle for myself.

Good to hear. Just wish you could use your coins to buy download cards too!
