There's an item worthwhile of reproductions! I would love to have that framed on my wall; and in the living room honey, not the basement!

Not if Activistion would have anything to say about it. They own all the copyrights for Infocom related IP.

Yeah, even though the map itself was produced by and for the Zork Users Group, I'm sure if I started printing them up, someone from Activision would show up and have their way with me........

Just turn the 'Z' and call it 'Nork'. Problem solved. :)

The Zork Users Group was founded by Mike Dornbrook, Infocom VP and marketer as a compromise instead of hiring a full time customer support at the time Zork was gaining popularity -

"Dornbrook countered with a compromise: If Infocom would let him borrow its trademark and establish the Zork User's Group, everyone would benefit. His original intention was to operate the business out of his Chicago dorm room, but it proved easier to wax his father out of retirement and set up an office in nearby Milwaukee"

So it was started under Infocom with the Zork name under loan. Hence Activision would still own any copyrights in relation to it.

Wow, Zork 2 & Zork 3 auctions both closed around ~$400. Did anyone from this forum win the auctions?

I have the INFOCOM "The Zork Anthology, The 5 Original Text Adventures". The maps are Black and white instead of color like the ones on eBay.It has a bonus "The Original PlanetFall Text Adventure" included, all on a CD-ROM.There's also a thick 240 page hint book/guide.The box is still in shrink wrap except for the top flap to open.Is this worth as much as the eBay one?I never played the games, i totally forgot i had that package, plus I'm not into text games.I have played "Return To Zork", "want some rye? course you do!"
