The movie is "Tank Girl". Probably not a movie any one here has seen (or should see for that matter). It's one of my stepdaughters favorite movies so I enjoyed watching it with her. I made a big deal out of seeing an Atari 5200 trak-ball controller in a movie. I even went into the other room and got mine to show her... needless to say, she wasn't nearly as excited about it as I was. :)

If any one knows of other examples of this, please feel free to post.

Tank Girl ... (laughs). That was one of those eccentric movies, with lots of weirdness in it. It's not that bad of a movie. You just have to get your mind warped before you watch it.

Given the source material, I'm not sure they could have actually made a better move adaptation of the Tank Girl comic. Still a terrible movie though.

I agree with you both. It is pretty bad, but would be unwatchable if it weren't for Lori Petty as Tank Girl (she played the main girl in Point Break). She is funny, sarcastic and absolutely makes the movie. Ice-T does play a kangaroo in this movie so he looses a few points in my book. There is lots of other "weirdness" in it so an altered state of mind is recommended if you watch it.

Oooh I love that movie actually too!! :) Ever since it came out back in '95 Tank Girl's always been a favorite of mine. Love the comics even better. Don't get the hate that movie gets, it really is an awesome movie.

One movie that comes to my mind is Midnight Madness from 1980. There's a scene where the leader of the blue team is playing Pong with an Atari 2600 wireless controller in the blue team van. If I can find a pic of it I'll post it here soon. Also in that movie there's a scene where Michael J Fox has to play the arcade game Star Fire.

Wow! You have either seen that movie recently or you have an incredible memory... My friends and I used to play the game around the neighborhood inspired by this movie. I don't have time to watch it now but it looks like it's on YouTube in 8 parts. I don't remember much of the movie but I look forward to watching it again for the parts you spoke about and to see if it still holds up after thirty years.

I bet a pic of that would be hard to find... without having to watch a whole bunch of episodes to find it (and who wants to do that.)

It's in the episode where Stephanie almost gets in a car wreck with her friend or something. I remember it because the Super Advantage caught me off guard when I first watched it.

This isn't exactly a controller, but remember in T2 when John Connor uses the Atari Portfolio to hack the ATM?

I watched Midnight Madness again the other day and though dated, it holds up after thirty years. Funny, decent story line and the diversity of all the characters keeps it interesting. I took the liberty of taking a couple screen shots of the part where the guy is playing pong with an Atari joystick. Check it out! It's Flounder!

The episode of Full House was between 93-95. Michelle started playing a made up SNES game called Belmontae's Quest (or something like that) There is a part towards the end where shes holding a SNES cartridge, but you can't see what game it is.

There was also a NES in Wills room on The Fresh Pince of Bel Air, a SNES with Super Mario World was on a episode of Roseanne, on The Cosby Show there was a NES on a episode, then on Raising Hope a NES and 2600 have been shown.

As for movies. On Paranormal Activity 3 there was a 7800 in the living room floor.

In the cartoon show Regular Show, the video game system of the main character's looks suspiciously like a Sega Master System...
