Recently I've been trying to get my hands on a copy of the guide for Oblivion: Game of the Year. This is the last edition that was released, with the original game and both expansions (Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles). Unlike the eariler versions of the game guides, though, it seems Prima produced this one in very small ammounts. Average sale price of the book is about $60-80 on EBay.
Needless to say, that's more then I can afford to spend and I was about to give up hope until I noticed that a couple of auctions had ended with BIN prices of $15-20. That's more in my range. (Willing to go up to $30 for a max).
So I decided to try the auto notification function that EBay has a shot. I set up a few watch lists with some common ways the guide was listed, such as 'oblivion game of the year guide' and EBay will send me a e-mail automaticaly anytime a auction is posted that has those words. Problem is, I've never used this before and I'm not sure how well this works. But given that I suspect that if another copy of the book is listed for cheap with a BIN it won't last long, and I can't spend all day just watching EBay.
Does anyone else have any tips they are willing to share to increase my chances of getting this item?
