all my 5200 controllers

why do all my controllers when you move one direction and let go it keeps going that way. some do it when you press left, some right, some up. i think i have like 1 or 2 that dont do that. anyone ???

Sounds like the rubber boot is wearing out. Which can be replace with an updated one.

That's the way Atari made the 5200 controllers, they are non-centering. You have to get a third party controller if you want it to self center.

well it wasnt about it not self centering, i think i had a few wires getting pinched... atleast in the one i took apart. i have an atari redemption hook up if i want to use something else. i put a gold kit in a controller tonight.. i highly recomend it !
