Spent a good hour on Missile Command awesome game but ALAS...
I'm blaming the joysticks - need to service them tomorrow - ones not always firing and the other's firing doubles and using me precious ammo

Strange I noticed that my joystick was double firing on Missile Command can't say I notice it before. Better than firing blanks though

me thinks you have too much nap time and need to get some scores in get past 6x on Red then see if you can rest!! Had another 163K go need to develop a survival stragegy if i'm to catch McKong

Improved on Pac-man Arcade 70,470 think there's more to come here too

Nice choice, Scooter is one of my pet favourites
Ollies takes a bit of practice but is quite rewarding. Use the codes to practice if you need to folks - not u McKong!!!

In honor of the new 2600 release, I thought to nominate Boulder Dash for the finale. It hasn't been played since way back..but maybe Fandal will chime in with a score I also dusted off another criminally ignored title from the early days of the Goochman Regime, Shamus, and am currently exploring level 1 without a map. "Who will challenge me?..." .

Boulder Dash- 2,790 (cave E)

Pick 1!!! I suggest Shamus as BD takes a long time to play - we could play it next season perhaps

Shamus it is! Boulder Dash is quite challenging and deserves some serious attention(next season for sure ) I'm sort of stuck at room 17 though(a "pod" room?), trying to suss out how to get the orange key. You can't advance to the Blue level until the the orange keyhole is unlocked. Until then, its just kill enemies and rack up points...

That "who will challenge" quote is from the long forgotten Joust 2 arcade game, back when Video Games 'talked' to players to get them to drop another quarter in the slot. Those were the days..

Shamus 26,030 I got the red and blue keys but only found the orange(brown!) door - if we play this for real next season we'll have to do it on levels completed then points

Scooter 14,700 I was a bit rusty!

sort of 3d pacmanish too?! Lots of failed attempts but improved on Scooter 17,600 level 5 - managed to get him off the tracks and onto the edges. You can see the next level above

Really been trying to beat McKong's Missile Command score but 160K seems to be where I'm at before I go into meltdown - on my 4th regular joystick the other three have failed me! Blasted Ol's Fols causing me grief on that level (14?) where you have to wait before setting off on that wheel before the forcefield ends... even with full men still blew it - beaten it a couple if times but not got much further

Really liking the new Pac-Man "Arcade" - really slick and I think the best A8 pac-man there is - despite getting cornered you can usually escape and you can really motor round and usually get all 4 ghosts - this is the first HSC game where were all on an even playing field re PAL/NTSC (2nd thoughts maybe Beef Drop was?)
