I uploaded two 3Kx2K JPGs.

When I click the thumbnail it reports the original file size but clicking SAVE downloads a 1200x900 reduction of the image. I tried it on Safari, Chrome, and IE. I also looked at my attachment manager and it still reports the full file size.

Is it normal for the site to downsize JPGs? If so, then why not do it on upload instead of on download? Is there another way to download the full JPG? Am I missing something here?
