So I just realized the 'tune' during the jaguar boot is actually the "Have You Played Atari Today?" tune.

Commercial for the slogan:

Atari Jaguar Boot:

Has anyone ever realized that? I thought that was kinda kool. :)

That was one of the things I loved most about the Jag when it first came out. ;)

Yep. I'm not really old enough to remember the 2600 commercials from the early 80s, but I put it together when I clicked the "Have You Played Atari Today" link on the main atariage.com page on one of my first visits here.

You know, I was going to use that jingle while bootstrapping my Falcon, but I didn't like it much, so I went searching and used an original jingle instead.
But, yes, it's cool that they used that tune in Jag. I ever read the story of that, where programmers were told to use a very minimal amount of memory for the booting screen, so they had to manually "score" the tune in memory...
