I was stumbling around the internet, and came across this nifty little gadget and ordered myself one. It's a wireless controller for psp. My thought is that I should be able to have pretty much the full console experience with it combined with the tv-out.

Anybody have one of these? How well do they work? The internet seems to be critically lacking on information about this device.

According to the instructions it seems like the drivers needs to be run on a hacked psp.

I ordered from china (could not find any us sellers) so it will be a while before I can put out any kind of review.

Interesting. Too bad it doesn't use standard wireless Playstation controllers. Curious to find out how you like it

I got this thing last night, and I've got to say that I'm pretty impressed. That said, it's got a lot of 'gotchas,' and is shooting for a *very* slim market segment.
This controller makes Peace Walker awesome. Hell, something like this should have come packed with this game.

Main questions that I imagine are out there:
The L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons are mirrors of eachother.
The right stick emulates the main buttons located above it (awesome for twin stick shooters and camera movement)
R3 is used to control autofire--it's an all/none type of autofire setup.

Quick Pro/Con

Pros:
Plugin install is easy and doesn't mess up other plugins in the list
no lag, works as advertised. Wireless operation is fantastic.
Works in system menus, games (not psx), and remote play (minus the home button)
creative use of the right stick really adds to the usability of the device


The cons:
Requires custom firmware
Receiver requires external power (will not run off of psp battery)
'Home' Button does not function in remote play
Does not work with psx games at all, or in plugin menus (example cwcheat)
Costs a lot ($50+) and it's plastic feels more like a $20 controller.
LED indicators *way* too bright. (I covered them with electrical tape)
Most games are optimised for the standard low-quality analog stick, but that's the PSP's fault.
Lacks some of the psp face buttons (volume, screen, musical note thing)

Sounds great, but it also sounds like there's a little too much leg work needed to get it to work (for people that do not have CFW anyway). Bummer.

It seems interesting! Shame about the lack of compatibility with PS1 games, but oh well. It would still be cool to have!

I really like the sound of it, except for the fact that I have to run it on a hacked PSP.

I'm definitely tempted, but the price is somewhat of a stumbling block because I'm unsure if I would ever use it enough to warrant the purchase...
