Nice improvement. Joined the 100K club: 108,590!

This time, I used Stella with the Stelladaptor!

Looked for a song in my music files, with Hero in the title

Found a couple,
Here's one to listen to while playing...LOL...

Martin Dupont - BRITTLE HERO It's also from 1984 but French electro origins Oui oui... ;)

The opening lyric has a space invader... line in it.

You can still destroy walls with your gun... takes time though.

Surprisingly, this is the first time I've played H.E.R.O.... it's one of a handful that eludes my complete Activision set.
Anyways, nice pick! First go around grabs me a 43,545.
No picture until I rack up something better.

you shouldn't run out of dynamite, in the later levels, if you did, you made a mistake

I'm feeling like every point matters, now.

Really don't want to get knocked out in Round 1. Having too much fun.

This seems like one of the toughest Activision patches to get.

YOU'RE WELCOME, GORFY!
H.E.R.O. is one of my 2600 favorite games, and is my expertise! I played H.E.R.O. using Stella Emulator with KEYBOARD and I got 1 million points 9 years ago, in all game variations (including Game 5 - Random Levels).
To get 1 million points in this game, it took me 45 minutes approximately (EXPERT PLAYERS). As a well-trained player, my goal was reached in ONE ATTEMPT for this contest: beat Todd Rogers "Mr. Activision" score (1 million) and become the first AtariAge member who saved the day in 2600 H.E.R.O.!

How about the music used when Johnny #5 is just about to die in Short Circuit #2... "I need a hero!" :)
