I was reading Vintage Computing & Gaming recently, and I saw a flyer for an Apple II/IBM PC Wico. I had seen this joystick before, but what caught my eye was that there was apparently a Tandy version. This would be neat to have, it's probably quite good.

It has self centering that can be enabled/disabled, it's more durable than other CoCo joysticks, and it has a shorter throw than the other CoCo joysticks I've tried.
It's definitely worth having, but there are just some games that work better with one of the other options.
An adapter that lets you hook up regular Atari type joysticks combined with one of the other Wico joysticks is better for twitch type games, and the Deluxe Joystick is better for games/programs that require precision.

It probably depends on your definition of rare but I'd say yes. Worth a lot... more than the Tandy joysticks but I wouldn't pay top dollar by any means.

I was an avid reader of Hot Coco (and, less so, Rainbow) back in 1984-1986 and I do not recall having ever seen an advertisement for this joystick.
I always used the stock Tandy/RS sticks, but I have also seen the "Deluxe" joystick.

I have the Deluxe Sticks as well as the somewhat rarer pistol grip joystick but I've never seen a Wico stick for the Coco. I'd love to see a pic too.

It's similar to this version. Change the red part of the base to brown, the black to white (cream?), and the rest of the red to orange. Oh, and drop the smaller button.
