On comp.sys.apple2 last summer there was a thread about exceptionally good-looking floppy disks. Here are some of the examples posted.

Got any more? It's a bit sad that there's almost no room for this sort of artistry anymore in today's teeny-tiny storage media (like those SanDisk flash drives that are smaller than the USB interface to which they're attached).

About 1989, my family received some promotional material from GM (or possibly Chrysler) that included a PC trivia(?) game on a 5.25" disk. I no longer have it, but I remember that it was in a custom jacket with a very nice illustration of their latest high-end car.

I was always a fan of the "rainbow" box of floppys - - I liked sorting my programs by color!

It made them easy to reach for ("oh yeah, that game is on the RED floppy, and the paper I wrote is on that blue one!)

The ones on the ends are floppy sleeves. Still pretty cool.
