Hi,

I recently bought a copy of Masters of the Universe, the Power of He-Man, only to find out that it does not work properly. The opening screen seems fine, and I get to witness He-Man's remarkable transformation into his tanned, buff self.

The "next" screen comes up, with He-Man sitting in a small hovercraft(?). However, I cannot get him to move at all. I tried each joystick port, left only, right only, paddles, etc. What would/could cause a game to work to this point and not allow movement?

Forgive me if such a question has been asked and answered in the past. Thanks, in advance, for your explanation!

Try the difficulty switches. If they're on "B", set them to "A" and vice versa. Some of the M-Network games implemented a pause feature with the difficulty switches. I think He-Man might be one of those.

The right difficulty switch needs to be on "A" to play the game. "B" freezes the action.

Thank you both so much for your quick responses. I tried putting on the A difficulty switch on the right and it worked like a charm. Not my favorite game in my collection, but much better now that I can play it. My 8 year-old thanks you as well!

The Intellivision version is a much better game if you have a hankering to play some better Masters of the Universe. :)
