How did this get past quality control?

These are the first releases of pole position. I own one, but don't have a picture, so I used Atari Age cartridge scans.

The front is perfectly normal:

So why not the label? Actually, a better question, how did this get past quality control?

Ive got one of the Midnight Magic ones too, but thats technically more of a mis label than a mis print, if ya get me

I guess when the Execs. told the programers they were "no more important than the people that put the games in the boxes" the lable printers felt left out.
