I recently acquired a letter from a Taiwanese games manufacturer to a retailer, offering Atari 2600 games for sale.

The manufacturer's name is "Imagic Industrial Co", but it clearly has no connection to Imagic US. The interesting part is the brochure attached, which shows Suntek games for sale, along with Suntek games in Funvision Tripleplay packaging. It also uses Dimax/Sinmax fonts and wording. The list of games available includes the Sancho range so it appears that this manufacturer was behind each of those trademarks, which would mean they were also behind Bitcorp too.

The paperwork is all stapled together and the letter even came with the envelope!

Very interesting. Thank you for posting. By the way, I googled Heshy Bock, the person the letter is addressed to, and apparently he or she still lives in Brooklyn, New York, in case anyone might want to contact him/her. Is there an image missing (for the first page stapled to the second partial page of the "games list")?

No, there's no missing page. The list is stapled to the back of the sales brochure

Very interesting, the ADS is about cartridges manufactured by the company "Suntek", the list is not complete?
Below I put the ADS in the correct position for better viewing.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. The list isn't complete. It looks like the first releases from Suntek. What's interesting is that Dimax and Sancho games are listed on the price list. The Tripleplay packs are very rare and were used by Funvision to release V case games. That's why you see many Galactic V case games, but never boxes.

Also the rainbow stripes on either side of the picture on the front of the box are different shape than the normal Rainbowvision/Suntek boxes.. nice find !!!!

Wouldnt get too excited about the Sancho games though, these could be just pirated versions of the Sancho branded games they are selling,it is Taiwan after all :P

I'm certain the sancho games are not pirated, but the originals. Sancho is like Bitcorp in that they both released original games programmed in Taiwan.

This kind of stuff is fascinating. The form letter is interesting in itself. I guess they sold all sorts of things (probably pirated). The font looks like something that an American company in the late '50s or early '60s would have utilized (I'm a bit of a font nerd).

I would like a better quality scan of that ad, if that's possible, Dino.

In what way would you like it better? I used an industrial scanner and set it at 300dpi??

Remove the creases.

I don't mind the creases in this case, but this scan is 96 DPI, certainly not 300DPI.
