Someone reply to him in a Mister T type stance ie "I pity the fool that tries to sell a 1200XL for 1200 bucks"

"And how is the auction going to end Mr T?"

"PAAAAAAAIN...PAAAAAAAAIN"

boxpressed ;) haven't thought of that
in that case i need to find one without power supply, and adopt power supply from amiga 500 for it
an investment :)

now i have the idea about how much XEP80 might be worth :D

$1200? That means Atarimax cut me a really awesome deal on his tricked out 1200XL - something like $900 off! My wife will be impressed with my bargain shopping.

Btw, the original price sticker says $499 marked down on a red price tag sale to $69.99.

Not bad, that's only a dollar per... whatever the XL's got 1,200 of.

Ultimately it will be the collectors that control ePay pricing. Look, if an item is too-high priced.. It will probably sit there and not move.
My reasoning is that the only folks interested in this stuff are price savvy and won't really overpay. Except for the occasional idiot, whom will soon learn his lesson.

It's also not likely that someone is gonna swing by randomy, see the words "rare" or "steve jobs" and say "I gotta get this!".. Yeh, some apple 2 series stuff has "steve jobs" in the title, trying to capitalize on the dead dude's name and fame.

Absolutely, Keatah, collectibles are only worth what the collector is willing to pay.

Try selling a house and let me know how you do. You'll probably take a hit on the price. The market is not supporting it because the buyers are refusing to pay right now.

And the sellers shall be stuck with stuff that isn't money and won't buy food and heat.

And everybody shall realize there's too much mass-produced garbage in the world. Which is what I believe is happening and ultimately driving prices up. Especially with the instant knowledge dissemination. We still don't know how to use the internet the way it should be used..ahem..Anyways..

1 seller says a IIgs is worth $300 bare-bones, and ALL sellers agree. And no sales are made, because collectors and enthusiasts say they are worth $62.78!
