It does and I avoid that section for a reason. Not that I don't have a strong opinion on all things political (politics is probably my third favorite topic after programming and gaming) but arguing politics on discussion forums is about the biggest waste of time someone could possibly become involved in. It never goes anywhere and people always form opinions of each other that are way over the top. In other words, it is not conducive to fostering friendly online communities. Frankly this topic stalled closer to the beginning than the end and there isn't much reason to continue it.
