The 3DO information is quite possibly misleading. The only box scans I have been able to find of Star Control 2 and Alone in the Dark have copyright dates of 1994. Why would there be copyright dates of '94 if the games were released in '93? It doesn't make any sense. Did anyone actually keep up with the 3DO when it launched?
What I do know is Crash 'n Burn, Total Eclipse, and Escape From Monster Manor are 1993 games.

Yeah, I remember being very unimpressed with the launch titles of the N64 - Mario 64 was a lot of fun, but the whole reason I bought that system was for Shadows of the Empire..which ended up being not so great (compared to my PC favorite Dark Forces) but still. I thought the Dreamcast had a solid launch though.

Yeah, I didn't have the 64 back in the day, but I bought Shadows for my Brother in Law for Christmas. It was okay, the Hoth Snowspeeder part was the highlight, but all the on foot sections felt like he was on ice or not really a part of the environment. I also remember playing Dark Forces (or maybe it was Dark Forces II) and enjoyed it quite a bit. I still remember parts of it and can hear the music playing in the background.

Good question. Why do the 2600's launch games have 1978 copyright dates when they were released in 1977?
