What is the best way to get rid of a huge collection of gear? I'll list some of what I have.

COCO 2 and 3
TI99/4a
Intellivision
Atari 2600 heavy sixer and over 200 different tiles
Atari 7800
Atari 5200
Commodore Vic 20
Timex
Amiga Alpha Gen with os 3.5 and memory addon
TRS-80
Apple IIe
other apples
and tons more......

Thinking of selling in one big lot, would want someone on here to get it if possible. Should I just post pics and take offers? I live in michigan. Would take a small uhaul to get it all.

What should I do?

Most people want some items, like me, I'm interested in Alphagen.

My problem is that this stuff is taking up alot of space. I just want it gone in one big swoop. Like the amiga I have boxes of software and tons of books. Lots of good stuff. I just cant stand looking at it all anymore. Want to just focus on pcfx, ps1 and ps2 now.

As is the standard whenever this kind of question pops up.....

You can sell it in a huge lot, but it WILL GO CHEAP as it's extremely unlikely any single buyer values/wants/needs exactly all of that stuff.

Part it out and get considerably more for it, with a substantial investment in terms of time, and packing/mailing/inquiry efforts.

This is always the case.

It's also pretty hard to sell a lot of stuff when there's no DETAILED description of EXACTLY what is included, and a ballpark price of what you're looking to get out of it. Pictures will help immensely, and fortunately digicams and free pic hosting sites are ubiquitous. So far, a potential buyer has no idea of what is or is not included, what quantities, what condition, what it looks likes, etc.

I will post pics on sunday and start a new thread. Will take awhile to get it all together. I'm hoping to get around $1000 bucks for it all which is a steal. Just want it all out. Will be a great deal for someone to make money on. I just don't have the drive to sell it all in pieces.

I might be interested in some of the non-computer stuff, but I think it's going to be a tough sell to find a collector who will buy the whole lot. If you'd consider selling it to a re-seller, I'd recommend Josh at Epic Electronics in GR. He's a good guy and could get it local. He's got a store, so he'd have to get a good price to make money obviously, but I think he would be fair.

Yeah I'm at his shop all the time. But he doesn't do any retro computer stuff really. I mean I even have s100 computers that are new in the package, never put together. Also a commodore Kim 1 expansion board (so you can use s100 cards on it) Still new!! Just so much stuff UGHHH!

If I were closer and/or could leave town in the near future, I'd possibly be interested, assuming it's what I'm envisioning it to be. You may very well find a buyer for the right price. Post up pics, preferably along with a general inventory unless it's all real obvious in the pictures. Please post a link in this thread to the new thread when you post it so those ofus following this thread will be sure to see it. Good luck.
