Our game this round is Super Cobra. Play on default starting setting. Do Not Use the Continue function!

Emulation is fine as is whatever control scheme you wish. Pics required as lowest score is eliminated from further play.
Anyone using their "skip" must post here within 24hrs. Players who've used their skip will have an asterisk * next to their name. This is the last round a "skip" can be granted.

Hate this game...! I had a feeling this one was next, so I played it already last week

We'll see how it goes though, the 5200 version seems improved over Colecovision ...
the plane is a bit big in the small areas but the enemies fire is much less annoying.

LOL, yeah, was only played once though by 3 people total. hehe

The Colecovision Super Cobra had put me through HELL a few weeks ago,
but after playing it about "30 times"... it's prepared me well for this 5200 version.

Check this score out! My best result, never seen this level before...

In the meantime, I managed: 10,000

Had 2 stupid crashes, so definitely more in the tank yet. This is another game that just doesn't get a chance. Kind of like Frogger. I threw it into the mix for those wanting something different.

Everyone else may play along if you wish. Consider it a kind of practice.

I am very glad to see this game come up! it's another one of those games that wouldn't ever win a poll, so I will embrace this opportunity to play this

I'm having a hell of a time getting past the 'falling asterisks of doom' level. Managed it once, and here was the result...

I'm finding this game really entertaining. Yeah, there's some cheap deaths thanks to the random nature of how the tanks shoot, but overall, this game is a lot of fun!

Very nearly got into the final zone... 31,400

I don't think I ever played the 5200 version of Super Cobra. I won't have time till Sat or Sun to play it. The coin-op version on Konami Classics is really hard.

See if you can pass it! You're so close there... also if you get through this level,
then I don't have to suffer trying to beat this score... that level feels impossible! I got to it two more
times but my score was in the 26ks... so... :\

Nice to see this game getting some love here. The controls don't help it, but also don't really hurt the game any IMO.
Some further progress, but may not be enough...

This round is now over leaving us with the top 3 contenders remaining, but that is still too many. I'd like to thanks all who played and hopefully enjoyed the game. I'd also like to congratulate everyone who played on beating the original HSC record, which will now be held by sdamon for now...
