In another thread, I mentioned a recent purchase of Coleco sales kits from 1983. I have approximately 80 flyers of Coleco products, including unreleased games. As I have time to scan them, I will post flyers of the unreleased games here. Here's one to start: Wild Western.

Any of those mention any unreleased Intellivision games?

Please check this list first:

Any Coleco flyer not on the list is more than welcome.

Same goes for a better Smurfette's Birthday scan.

Taito games FTW!

This, Frontline and Tin Star were some of my favorite arcade games bitd.

Frontline was one of my favorite arcade ports on the 2600. It sucks this never materialized....

Yes, I will create separate threads for the unreleased Intellivision and Colecovision flyers.

As usual, Atarimania has the goods! I think you've got them all, Rom, so I won't bother to post any more in this thread. I don't believe I have Smurfette's Birthday. :(

Wow, those flyers are awesome. How big are they, 8.5 x 11"? They would make nice game room decorations (framed of course) if you have one.

Any cool non-videogame items in those sales kits?

Great scan! Any chance that you have the flyer for the unreleased Tarzan. I always wondered what it would have looked like on the 2600.

Of all the companies out there that announced games that never got released I think Coleco by far had the most games I would have wanted.

You are right, it is a bummer! Its seems weird that an instruction manual would exist without a complete game. Lets hope that a rom will be found someday.

Ditto on that! Tarzan is one of my favorite CV titles, I certainly hope a 2600 ROM comes to light someday.

I'd love to see a 2600 Cosmic Avenger game done.

Here is the cover of the 1983 Press kit that Wild Western (and all of Rom's other posters) came from...
PressKit1983.jpg

It did NOT contain Smurfette's Birthday. However, it did contain these two posters...

The 1984 Press Kit was mostly dedicated to Adam and ColecoVision...

...but it DID have these references to KidVid and Gemini...

...and, most importantly, Mr. Do!'s Castle (ultimately released by Parker Bros.) and Tarzan (with box and screen shot!).

Rom, I hope you're getting all this!

Very cool. Was Smurfette's Birthday in the 1982 Press Kit?

Excellent question. Unfortunately, I don't have the 1982 kit.

Wow, I didn't know they were going to make Frenzy for the 2600. I would have loved that. Its one of those games that makes the colecovision worth owning as IIRC its the only home port of this game. Would have loved a 2600 frenzy *sigh*

Love it.

But in order to add this we need the complete catalog and press kit scanned.

Most of these games were never shown at CES, only in the Press kits. Tarzan for the 2600 was shown, but it was a video, not an actual game.
