Hello, I know next to nothing about these systems so I thought this would be the perfect place to get some help. A gentleman wants to sell me his collection but neither of us knows the value of it. I know some of you guys could give me a good idea of what I should spend on this, thank you!

PS - Is anything really rare in here!?

Also i have ( unopened ) a speare keyboard for the Adam.
Most everything else is seen in the pics. In the interest of full disclosure, the connector on the back of the Adam, where the cable from the TV goes, can be finnicky. It needs to be held in place or the connection suffers. It may be a cold solder connection on the Adam's motherboard. But as seen in the screen shots of donkey kong and war room, the picture is fine as long as the cable is held tight against the Adam. the word processor works fine, I can save to the data packs and retrieve documents, also. The printer works except the ribbon is old and the typed page came out light.

On Kijiji in Ontario Canada, a member of this forum is selling an ADAM system for $100 or best offer in box. The sheer bulk of the ADAM makes it less desirable to most,,, the printer being the power supply.

You have to remember these stores if you were to sell to them will give you 1/2 if you're lucky of what they charge too... so consider that in your offer.

thanks but there are so many extras in the lot im gonna buy, thats why I cant figure the price cus there are so many games and extras, i dont know the values of the games(maybe some worth $1 but others $20?) and like for instance new keyboard in plastic, etc.

You can look on atari2600.com for the games as well. Most of the games pictured just look like ok quality and most of the atari2600 items have quality ratings to give you an idea how it compares to your cart. Without the boxes none of them are expensive but I don't think there are too many colecovison games that go for a $1 unless they are in bad shape. Brett is correct though the true expense is trying to ship an adam. I know NIAD could tell you how much it usually costs to ship an adam.

If the SuperAction controllers are working.. the usual price is around $20

Keyboard probably little value as it appears to be missing at least 3 keys: up arrow, down arrow, and the roman numeral 1 key. Maybe more, the whole keyboard isn't shown.

can anyone glance over the whole lot and give me a ballpark price figure of a fair deal for all this stuff?! I know one of you guys could do that in about 3 minutes. I would appreciate it and it would save me a lot of time heh.

I would estimate a fair price of anywhere from $175 to $200 as long as everything is in proper working condition and cosmetically in good shape.

There is nothing really rare in the lot of cartridges and Super Cross Force and Sector Alpha would be the rarest. The labels look to be in good condition so that is a plus.
Some of the cart manuals look to be water damaged, but the Tapper manual is worth about $8-$10 alone.
Radio Shack bought up a ton of the ADAM Keyboards without the housing and sold them to hobbyists who would "mod" them for other uses. The missing keys are probably laying in the bag if it is still sealed and can easily be super-glued back into place.
Nothing that is hard to find as far as the ADAM specific software on Data Packs and blank Data Packs can be had for $1-$2.
It looks like the owner is using a 5 or 7-pin DIN Monitor Cable (the black cable under his hand) and the solder on that connector (inside the Memory Console) could be the culprit or it could be one of the wires for this connector had the insulation stripped to far back and is touching the silver grounding band that runs just behind the connector between the upper and lower heat shields. A little TLC with these old systems goes a long way.
Seeing as he has 6 Super Actions Controllers and 3 Super Action Baseball carts (baseball cart came with 2 SACs), I would venture a guess that 3 to 4 of the Super Action Controllers do not work properly... either the Speed Roller, worm out keypads or the 3rd/4th firebutton.

Seeing as the seller will most likely want to sell everything and not part things out, you may be able to get a little better price. If I were to sell this lot in the AtariAge MarketPlace, I would probably ask about $150 and probably have to settle for about $125 especially since shipping all of this could run upwards of $60 via USPS Parcel Post.

If you want a number I say $100 + shipping. Every thing looks average to slightly damaged. The SACs (Super Action Controllers)should be considered a free bonus to sweeten the deal. Chance of any of the 6 SACs working 100% without contact or fire button cleaning is almost nill.
