Picked up a Atari lot (light sixer, vader) lots of carts and controllers. Among them was Chuck Wagon which was mentioned in the ad, but the bonus was I found the instructions in the pile of manuals the guy gave me. Awesome!!!

Crap, that beats my find. I was considering contacting the Guy to see if he might have more.

Isn't this supposed to be worth some serious bucks?

I think that piece of paper is $100 or so.

The instruction sheet is not worth $100. In completed online auctions, the instruction sheet does not significantly increase the value. The real value is in the box.

Sweet find for sure. I picked up some Criagslist stuff that turned out to have 7 or 8 R5s including London Blitz and felt good about myself. You need to buy some lotto real quick.

If you don’t mind me asking what did you pay for the lot? Perhaps that's bad form though? If so, my apologies; still trying to get the feel for this place...

The last deal I found in the wild was last summer via a box labeled "Old games $15" at a yard sale that contained a somewhat dirty but serviceable NES, 6 commons with Mighty Final Fight plus a Hyper Scan system. I talked her down to $12 though claiming that the NES looked awfully dirty ;)

no problem, I paid 100 dollars for the lot. It had a ton of stuff in it. 3 atari consoles, loads of games, manuals, controllers, etc
It was my first time buying something off of craigslist. yard and Garage sales around here are terrible at finding atari items and my local Trade It store uses Ebay as a price guide so all there atari stuff is priced accordingly. I used to get games from them for 99 cents each (picked up a crazy climber for .99 cents!! on one outing I did).

I try to keep my spending below 50 bucks, it all depends on the lot. It just takes some research prior to going out and looking do you know what something may be worth. But in the end, its what it is worth to you.

You got a great deal! Thanks for the info; it's appreciated.

Finding deals on Craigslist is really tough now thanks to resellers that are constantly monitoring the Video Game Classifieds for key words via Iphone and PC apps. They are instantly notified when a possible deal is posted so you got to be quick and lucky to boot.

Your deal gives me hope that I might taste a sweet Craigslist deal too one day but so far nothing yet and it's been over a year. I'm still chasing the Craigslist Chuck Wagon though

The way you win on CL is true value. Most resellers take a $3 - $5 a game approach around me so when the ratio doesn't look right to them they pass. I, on the other hand, know to look at what a game is really worth and go from there. I find myself buying 20 games because 1 of them is woth 10 times what I'm spending on the lot. Keep your eyes open and always ask that question you are thinking about. It pays to ask every time.
