Greetings Classic Gamers!

I was wondering if you guys/gals could recommend any other *good* classic gaming sites and forums. Please post the links. Atari Age is great, but I'd like to know what else is out there too.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

NintendoAge, but I believe that's mostly a younger crowd.

Digital Press and Racketboy are other popular ones.

I go to NA and SA some but not often. I mainly cruise here, Twin Galaxies and lemon64 (commodore site). Mostly here these days. Twin Galaxies is all but dead now. The forums are dry and just about all of the refs have left and the lead guy is not bringing any new ones in for what ever reason.

There is also the Retrocade Magazine's forums. http://www.retrocade...5a4a901903b1f00 Kinda slow there but Rob's just now getting everything up and running good for it.

That's all my bookmarks

This is the only one I bother with. I tend to find one good forum for each of my interests, and just stick with that. Easier to become part of the community that way. There are other perfectly good classic gaming forums out there, but this one leaves nothing to be desired, and I already know people here, so I'm good.

This is the only gaming site I'm registered at. I check out the sega-16 and digitalpress forums every once in a while.

80% AtariAge, 10% Digital Press, %5 Retro Gaming Roundup forums, and the other 5% split between NintendoAge, Monroeworld, Lemon65/LemonAmiga and other random places.

I go to sega8bit.com, Sega-16, and The Pc-Engine Software Bible once in a while. I don't do other site classic gaming forums as outside of Atariage though.

The forum at smspower.org is nice, although not overly active these days.

I love RF generation, but the forums are not all that active. still, if you're lookign to catalog your colelction, you can't find a better site. Nintendoage is really active, but yeah, it can get uncivil at times because the median age of it's uses is a lot lower than here.

+1 for Retrocade if you're into all things retrogaming.

I'll also add http://www.retrogamingroundup.com . Their bread and butter is actually a monthly podcast as opposed to forums, but they do have forums as well that see reasonable levels of activity. Arguably their best stuff is their monthly Top 10 feature, where the 3 hosts hash out top 10 lists in detail on retrogaming topics ranging from "best Atari 2600 games" to "best classic arcade cabinets" to "best classic controllers", and everything in between. They have show archives on the site that go back to 2009.

go there and learn all about the beauty that is CDi, and that all the bull you've been told about this system on other websites/ forums is obviously not true.

I thought about mentioning that myself. There's a ton of great information there, but it's not a very active forum, unfortunately. :(

Another one hosted on the same site is based around the 3DO, "3DO Zero": http://3do.cdinteractive.co.uk/

Another 3DO forum just popped up, too. It could use some users!: http://www.3doage.com/

Thanks for the plug guys!

On the Retrocade Magazine forums you earn tokens for participation and we always have something going on to allow gamers to earn them. And I'm building an inventory for the Token Redemption Center where you can redeem those tokens for items like magazines, cartridges and manuals.

For example, right now we have a Game of the Month contest on Cosmic Ark (2600) and Bounty Bowl I in progress. You can earn 2500 tokens by placing the top score on Cosmic Ark this month and there are multiple ways to earn tokens in Bounty Bowl I (read the rules for details).

This Thursday is the beginning of the Arcade Winter Blast presented by High Scores Arcade and PatrickScottPatterson.com. Not only can you earn tokens but PSP is giving away prizes for the top 3 players in the tournament!

Next we have the NES Power Play Tournament which begins the middle of February.

On top of that there hundreds of games to submit scores on across multiple console platforms. All the scores and tournament results will be published in each issue of Retrocade Magazine.

I just moved the forums last weekend from an ads supported provider to my own server and domain. So, it may look like a ghost town but we did have over 90 members registered before the move. I expect more sign-ups this week with the arcade tournament kicking off and the release of the first preview of issue #2 to forum members.
