Havent really had a chance to getting around to this. is there a way to disable it during boot up? Like if i just want to use my real disk drive or ape?

Not sure as I have never tried it but I think you have to daisy chain it and I think it only works on some SIO2SD drives that have diodes on certain pins.

yeah, its the flashjazz xm301 built one, but i have no idea whats inside. Its daisy chained as well. I'd hate to have to pull it each time i wanted to use something else

Shift - K4, eject disk. Unmounted drives shouldn't respond to SIO commands.

Don't have mine hooked up so can't verify that.

if no drives have anything mounted, it doesnt respond...

yeah did the shift and k4. It unmounted it. i tried loading a floppy in my indus drive and it beeped for a couple of seconds and the sio2sd blinked in conjunction with it and the loading stopped. it was a no go

If it's one of mine, it was tested with an XF551 hooked up as drive 1. Sounds like a drive number clash, but maybe there's a loose connection on the pass-thru?

so my indus should probably be drive 2 and my 1050 drive 3?

It should work with any arrangement you like, as long as no two devices share the same drive ID. Having an ATR on the SD card and a physcial floppy drive both sharing the same drive number would tend to cause the situation you describe. Let me know how you get on.
