Please can you help me find the date code in this Serial #

I saw in an earlier thread that an Atari 600XL had the Date code after the Serial #.

I do not know how to date this 1200XL I am looking at to buy.

Please help

Normally, the date code is stamped near the serial number. Your 1200XL is not - could be from an incomplete build or such, I suppose. I think the early 1200XLs were made in the USA - later units were from Taiwan.

No matter. All the 1200XLs are good. (or, as good as they get)
