I've found a bug in Dropzone... and not the sort you can shoot... a couple of times I've been doing quite well, but after getting killed (perhaps near the end of a level) the level is empty- the NMeye repeatedly comes on - I've got no men to rescue and either nothing or just a single cloud to shoot... maybe it thinks I was still carrying the last man, perhaps I died when he was in the tube (it is possible to do that) and it gets in a mess and bye bye go

[managed to beat the 1m again, had a strategy of going easy on the Strata bombs but this didn't leave many lives so I only just beat my score 1,089,250 yes the pressure got to me and I went to pieces it's their haunting little cries for help that make me fly too fast ]

Great game! This is the first time I've heard of "Dropzone". Reminds me a bit of Stargate, but more dynamic and fluid.

Just finished my final grueling DZ session, made at least 1,100,000 (I was entering my initials but the game just restarted... and the score disappeared, 2nd time this has happened perhaps I was too slow )...

Nice score McKong knew you'd get there

Still a few hours left to Vote for Round 2 though I'm already cueing up the Bonnie Tyler classic

Start saving for that APE cable didn't realise you were a keyboard player do you have a disk drive or have you got lots of carts ?

It's a tricky game for keyboard - remember everyone you can use autofire but would be capped at 25K max score

Yeah, it's just keyboard play for me using 800Win, since my usb-joystick died. I have a few dozen carts(slowly growing!) for my 800xl and XEGS. My 1050 drive powers up, but I really haven't been able to test it, since I don't have any Atari software yet, or blank floppys to format .


WoW, I can't really identify with the stratospheric scoring in this game
I'm working to just get past level 3 for the moment...

I had to change the way I was playing to be more careful with the lives. Because there was so many available I was throwing them away
