Dr Manhattan
NSCX.com has this on their website as a HOAX. That's what people said when the Atari Flashback 3 was revealed. It would be nice if NSCX.com shared their reasoning with us. When you visit the site there is just a picture of the machine with the word "hoax" above it. Nothing more. Three things make me think this is a hoax. The original article disappeared from the web quickly, the strange ordering of the L+R triggers, and if you look closely, one of the pics looks shopped when you examine it closely. I don't agree with the logo missing a "p." I've seen SNK related merch (toys, etc) that still have the old logo. I just think "SNK" looks better on a product than "SNKP" but maybe that's just me. I actually sent an email to SNK Playmore. They have yet to respond. Edited January 27, 2012 by Dr Manhattan
captcapcom
I just talked to a long time poster on another forum I moderate. He claims it's not a hoax, and knows at least one person who designed it. This MAY come to light after all, as this poster has no reason to lie... Personally, I would love to see this come out! I am HOPING!!!!
Dr Manhattan
This is a status update and a plea for help. I have repeatedly sent messages to SNKplaymore about this product and I still have not received a reply. Usually when I contact this company, as I have done in the past, they are fairly quick about their response. Their silence on this issue is a bit puzzling. I think if it was a hoax they would have just told me flat out. If you have any information on this product, please contact me. If you know anyone I can speak to, please send me a PM. Thanks very much for your help.

You could possibly contact them. http://www.tommo.com

Thanks very much for your help. Well I just talked to some people at some companies that I thought would have some inside info. I have good news and (possibly) bad news. This system (according to them) is completely REAL and was designed by SNK Playmore. However, it is NOT being made by them. It is being outsourced to another company. Tommo has U.S. rights, Blazepro has Asian rights, and BigBen has European rights. Its expected for a late March/Early April release. Now for the possible bad news...if Tommo does not feel there will be enough interest they will not bother releasing this to the U.S. market and that means you will probably have to acquire it from overseas. Tommo only deals with large retailers normally, they would not deal with someone like me. Just look at their vendor list. So my suggestion to anyone who wants to see this make it to the U.S. is e-mail Tommo and let them know.

I think it's a good idea to reach out to them like you suggested. I've never been a huge portable fan (both my Gameboy SP and DS collect a lot of shelf dust) but a portable Neo playing the full game ROM's? That, I gotta have! Austin
If it's not available in the US, then whatever. We can buy it from overseas, no biggie.

No, not a huge deal, but obviously just cheaper if its available in the U.S. for U.S. residents.
Rex Dart
I can't imagine anybody buying this cares a whole lot about their money.

Satoshi Matrix
It will really come down to the quality of the unit if I pick it up or not. I don't currently own any device like this (except a modded PSP) and in theory, it's just what I'm looking for, what with that stick and form factor. I only hope and pray the analog stick is like a NGPC's.
