:P
Can I give a -1 or a dislike to the video (but not to Trinity personaly) for ruining a good song?
I second that.

Glee sounds ridiculous compared to the original (especially Perry's life performance) :

At the end of the ad it says the game is available at Big Ben's. I haven't thought about that place in years; the one near where I grew up in Lakewood, CA closed around 1985-1986. It sat vacant for a year or two then became a Warehouse that closed in the late 90's. Google Maps shows it as two seperate buildings now; a Jo-Ann Fabrics and a Big 5 Sporting Goods. :/

I didn't know Big Ben's sold video games. The only thing I remember about them was that they'd have the Top 20 45's arranged in order on a shelf at the front of the store and the #1 45 was a little cheaper than the rest of them (79 cents in ~1982 IIRC).

I had most of the Steve Perry Journey albums when I was kid. I always liked Frontiers the best of all their albums. Any Way You Want It from Departure was a good song too. I always thought that the songs from Escape were overplayed. The game was pretty good though. It was a bargain bin title during the crash that I picked up (as were most of my games).

You know Journey had a different front man for a while. Some guy from the Philippines. He's actually fairly good.

Anyway, he's in his early 40s. I bet he played this game when he was growing up.

I doubt that. I read a bio on him that said he grew up poor and lived on the streets for a few years. I saw Journey in concert about 3 years ago. Great show, he has some serious pipes. I still wish they'd get back with Perry, though I have heard rumors his voice is shot.

I picked up a copy at a thrift store years ago but I didnt care much for this game, I liked the Midway Arcade game with the Digitized heads better. BTW the announcer on the commerical IS Casey Kasem!

Although off topic, someone mentioned something about Journey's original singer.Robert Fleischmann was Journey's 1st or 2nd? singer who also sang for VINNIE VINCENT'S INVASION.

Actually Journey's first singer was Gregg Rolie who was also in Santana's band. He was still in the band even when Steve Perry joined but quit before they made Escape. The first two albums are awesome but the ones with Perry I like are Infinity and Frontiers.

'Seperate Ways(Worlds Apart)' is my favorite Journey song with Steve Perry tho. Probably some of the best 80's synth work were done in that song. I used to make fun of the music video alot.

I never listened to the new singer Arnel Pineda although I always hear he is good. I just don't think anyone can top Steve Perry, and I thought it was weird they re-recorded Steve's songs with the new singer. No way anyone can sing those songs better than Steve Perry.

Anyways I found someone who will sell this game to me soon. Can't wait to play it.

Although I do consider the "Chain Reaction" video to be more cheesy than "Separate Ways". That one looks like a love song to a dummy.

Seperate Ways...
That's the one, I randomly got in my head 7 years ago?... and I had to get it!

There's another really good Journey song, I forget the name. It was a hit on the radio in mid 80's
but it's not played anymore... if or when I think of it I'll say what it was...

Wheel in the Sky?
Any Way You Want it?
Lights?
Stone in Love?

..Could be anything

Allright allright.. I admit I like Journey. However my favorite is the whole "Captured" era (La Do Da, Lovin' Touchin Squeezin', Any Way You Want it, Dixie Highway etc.) Neil Schon is a great guitarist. :P

However the 2600 game.. not so much. ;)

There sure as heck ain't no shortage for this game. This one gaming store has 4 copies of Journey Escape.Every time I see games for sale, %98 of the time it's in there among the others, often more than one in the bunch also.

Hey I'm pretty sure I thought of it now... "SENDING MY LOVE", is the lyric I think.

Don't forget "Oh! Sherry".

By the way Schon translates "Beautiful" in German, so he's a beautiful guitarist! ;)

When I was 16 and a Junior in High School in 1987, a group of us friends put a band together and played our schools talent show. Guess what song we did? That's right, Seperate Ways. Considering most of us had only been playing a few months at that point (I was the bass player) we did pretty good! We came in second to another band that played Talk Dirty to Me, if you can believe that. That was the first show I ever did, and played pretty regular for a number of years, but I'll always remember that. :-D

Okay, thanks for the info!Journey with Greg Rolie was the lineup i liked best.I saw a few pics of Neil Schon when he was in Santana. He had a huge fro, and motorcycle handlebar moustache, and kept the look into Journey's early days(early to late 70's)That was hilarious compared to how he looked in the 80's and on era of Journey. So i guess Robert fleischmann came much later after Steve Perry left.I find it odd he went from singing for Journey to Vinnie Vincent's band.
