I started out with an Atari 400 in 1980. Got a job with a kids computing magazine called 'enter' published by Children's Television Workshop in '83, then moved on to PCs. I always wanted to get an a8 or a 1200XL (primarily for the keyboard and the looks), so I started looking around and found you guys, and a bunch of other places with hardware and helpful hints.

I picked up a 1200xl for myself for Christmas, and have now also added a couple of ATARIMAX 8Mb carts (love these) and now a MyIDE+ (shipped but not here yet) and have spent many hours playing games and fighting the kids for time in front of the screen.

Would like to tackle one of the video mods first, then maybe go for a 32-in-1... but I would really like to see a big list of all the common user mods. I found a few places for one or two, but wondered if anyone had compiled a big list by machine?

Any suggestions on which ones are best/ what order I should tackle them in?

I'd be interested in such a list as well. I've done the the Atari Classics video mod back when I was getting that magazine, and I added memory at one point (but I don't remember when! Hah!). If I ever find time, I'd like to start with a clean 1200XL and get it modded up nicely, but I don't even know what designs are out there at this point.
