RetroN3 is $25 more and you at least get all 3 systems and 3 system controller ports. Even if you don't go the RetroN3 route. An official Genesis is probably one of the cheapest classic systems to obtain.

This is subjective. Many people would argue differently especially for certain game genres.

Not really considering that this adapter needs it own AV output. I would maybe agree with you it if used the SNES's AV output.

Maybe so if the SNES was actually playing the Genesis game, but its not. All the SNES is there for is power and controller input. That is all! The cart has a GOAC or some type of emulation actually running that game. The fact that you actually have to plug AV cords into the adapter makes any novelty moot in my eyes. They might as well have just made SNES to Genesis controller port converters, that's basically all they are achieving here.
Before someone brings up the Super GameBoy being the same thing, its not. Yes it had the Game Boy hardware inside and was basically just using the SNES for power, controller input, however it also used the SNES for video output. Plus there's the fact that you were taking a portable system and playing it on your big TV screen which actually has value.
