Heard about people hacking a cartridge port into a Flashback II to play carts, but has anyone ever put a Flashback II INTO a 2600 case? I've got a couple extra Sears 2600 sixers and thought that would be neat to do. Be great to turn on the 2600 and have a bunch of built in games ready to play or pop in any cartridge and play that! How hard would it be to do?

greater challenge: cram it into a VCS cartridge.

It shouldn't be any harder than a regular FB2 cart port mod. Maybe even a little easier. But I think a better solution is to just video-mod a regular 2600 so you avoid all of those nasty FB2 incompatibilities - unless the 2600s are hopelessly broken.
