What you say about auctions and market value makes sense, I just don't do ebay. I don't care for their fee structure, and products always sell for less than I can get at other places or at retail. At least for the more run of the mill stuff. If I had something super rare/unique, I think it's a good venue for that - like stuff in the $500-2500 range. Anything over $2500, I'd probably use a proper live auction house like Christie's or Heritage.

Good luck getting more money from a brick and mortat store. There is a place locally where I shop where they sell me the Atari stuff they get in under what the eBay price due to the demand. Considering I am the only person that frequents their store that would buy these items and if they went above eBay I would just buy it there they are stuck. No consider that you are trying to sell six copies. Which means you would have to find six interested parties... seems like more of an incentive to lower the price. I have to say despite what you think I've certainly stopped visting stores that over price in general. It's not worth the occasional stop in to see if there is a deal. Price to sell and make money on the volume. Then again this is a buyer's perspective so take it any way you want.
