Hello all,

I recently came across three brand-new, still in shrinkwrap Bandai Electronics Intellivision games. They are in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photos. They seem to be like other international releases, except that the instructions are in Japanese, of course.

I also have an older Bandai Electronics Intellivision unit. It's in very fair condition, and the controllers are in excellent working order. Unfortunately the system is not – it comes up with a black screen. I do not know if this can be repaired or not. It comes with all packing materials as can be seen in the picture.

I also have the 8-bit NES computer keyboard and data recorder, both tested and in good working order. The data recorder is actually mint, and I imagine it would work on the ECS as well. These are very rare outside of the US, where they were never released. I can't guarantee that they work on an American unit – but if you have an expansion port, I imagine it would. It works very well on my Japanese NES 2.

I will take any reasonable offer. Please bear in mind that the items shipped from Japan and the buyer must pay shipping. The games should be very reasonable (from $10-$15, would be my guess), but the other items will of course be a fair amount more.

Thanks,
Carl

I have overspent my spare gaming funds right now.......otherwise i would want these. These, I imagine are pretty rare, especially still being sealed. (Bandai games)

Does Japan have alot of cool gaming stores there?

from what i've seen through pics i think so. The U.S. retro gaming store scene sucks hard.......Even Gaymstop stopped carrying Xbox 1 and gamecube, and what is left of the PS2 game section is games with no box art......

I've heard that in Akihabara they do have some good secondhand game shops with lots of classics.
Myself, I use Yahoo Japan Auctions. Occasionally, some interesting Bandai stuff pops up. There are a few catches however: you need to be able to speak Japanese, live in Japan, and have a Japanese bank account and credit card. A major stumbling block to collectors in the US. ;-)

Cool, if you ever go to one of those little game shops, post some pics or something.

Is there still a 'Ebay Japan' ? I tried to find one and search for bandia intellivision, but couldnt find anything.

There is no eBay Japan anymore. It seems that Yahoo Auctions (Japan) is the only place that Bandai items pop up on. Many of the auctions specifically say "you must speak Japanese" and none offer to ship internationally. Bunch of xenaphobes. ;-)

Here is a scan from a page in the Japanese Bandai Intellivision catalog. Notice the meticulous attention to detail. They even label things like "ground", like people can't figure that out? They also labeled each and every key, and every function it has (even the effect on speed when pressing it from the title screen). Wow.
