This week we are back down in swlovinist's epic game room. For this episode, John pulls out some rare & weird gaming consoles to share with Drunken Master Paul and I.

Sega CDX / Multi-Mega (1994)
Wonder Wizard Sharp Shooter (1976)
Fairchild Channel F (1976)
Arcadia 2001 (1982)
Executive Games: Television Tennis (1975)
SuperGrafx (1989)

I used to live in Longview... Longview Texas that is...

I've wanted a SuperGrafx for quite a while and really only for the 1941 game and just to have one. Glad to hear you got a TurboGrafx, be sure to get some of the many SHMUPs for it and do a review (like the one for the Genesis shooters you did.)

'Epic' is certainly the word to describe John's game room. Lots of fun memories in there for sure. I just hope I don't have to help him move it again anytime soon!

He's got so many games in there I think it's kind of created some kind of quantum singularity. I swear boxed air raids Neo Geo AES carts just materialize out of thin air in there.

Nice vid man. You gonna be at Cowlitz?

The way I describe John's Room of Doom is like this: its about the size of a small retro gaming shop. The difference being is that he has almost EVERY game and they are complete in the box with manuals. Crazy!

I think I will go to Cowlitz. The challenge I'm having is that there a bunch of shows this year. The Vancouver Retro Game show is happening in March, then Cowlitz, then Seattle Retro Gaming Expo at some point..and finally PAX Prime. DAMN!

Would LOVE to have you at Cowlitz...You definately will score some good deals on games...several vendors there I know will have great prices and have a large selection of hard to find games. BTW Lord Thag has a very impressive game collection as well...

Cowlitz is a blast, and there is a LOT of stuff to score with a small, fun crowd to hang with. Good times. Drop me a line if you end up making it Metal Jesus, John's been pretty stoked about your videos. I should be there this year.

I do have a pretty cool gameroom, but it's nothing on the scale of John's place. I'm more selective, and collect for the systems I play (mainly the Atari systems, Genesis, PC Engine and especially the Neo Geo). What I do collect, I have a lot of though. John and I have similar tastes, so we tend to inspire each other to play/pursue different games. If you can believe it, I've known John since his collection consisted of about 300 NES games in a loft appartment. That was a while ago lol.

Alas, however, I am stranded in far northern california amongst the heathen, so I only make it up to Washington a couple of times a year. I plan on moving up that way, hopefully soon.

I am just going to have to increase my "videogame magnet" so it attracts best friends and their videogame collections to Washington lol. That way you wont have to move your collection yourself!
