OK, I just listed a lot of Atari 2600 games. I get the you're in violation because you did not use the Ebay product listing. I tried to edit it, by using a product listing of one of the games, but if I do that the freaking game appears as the first picture, and I can't remove that picture. I plan on selling multiple video game items in the near future, and would like to know how to get around this insane Ebay policy.

You should have the option to "Remove All Pictures" near the top of the listing form. That's what I do.

If I list a large lot I don't use product details.

I have not used the product detail option ever. It's too much of a pain in the ass, mainly because of what you just described but for other reasons too. It says its a violation but they don't do anything about it, at least not for the hundred or so items I have sold since they started making it mandatory.

A listing for lots of games does not require a product listing, just single games where eBay has a product listing for the game.

You could also list under the "Wholesale" lots category.

Homer, you need to list in Video Games>Wholesale Lots>Games, and you will not have to use their description and you have more latitude with the shipping costs.

Buyers can't browse by system, so you need to make your item title capture the name of the system in any common verbiage (ie Nintendo and NES) and use the word "lot" because some folks (like me) search specifically for lots>

Not a good idea. Many buyers only search in the Video games category.
