Looks like the cancelled Resident Evil GBC game is available on the 'net now (I'm not sure if a ROM was available before, but my guess is "no"). It'd be interesting to try this one out. I recall looking forward to it, as along with Alone in the Dark: the New Nightmare, this was set to be one of the more impressive GBC games.

Finally! This thing looked rad for the GBC.

Yes indeed. I was the guest host of The Retro League Podcast this past week, so when it goes up I'll be sure to post a link. I talk extensively about my impressions of the GBC RE. Since it was cancelled at 90% complete, it's a major shame it never saw the light of day until now. It's extremely impressive for the GBC, and works out much better than Alone in the Dark, which came nearly two years later looking similar.

I wonder if the game hackign community will try and fix bugs and add an ending to the game. IF it really was 90% done, perhaps they can cobble something together.

It boggles my mind that something that close to being finished would be tossed out. The screenies look amazing.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping as well and long as Capcom doesn't throw a C&D at it. There are not one, but two builds that were dumped. The Jill game is far more complete than the Chris one and the only enemies that work in the game are the regular zombies, but the boses ARE there and all the game locations are present so it's only really a matter of crossing the t's and dotting the i's to get it fully working. Bug fixing is another matter, but I do have hope that this will happen.

Looks like the rom is available and someone over at romhacking.net has already made a bug fix patch.
