Why were a whole bunch of late 2600 carts found in Venezuela of all places? Was there an Atari factory down there or something?

My understanding is that, in the years during and after the "video game crash", video game publishers and vendors often liquidated their overstock merchandise in the South American market. Perhaps some of those stockpiles either ended up going to Venezuela directly, or were accumulated there over the years.

Whatever the reason, I'm glad these stockpiles still exist and are being made available again. They have brought previously-rare titles down in price and into the hands of collectors, and I've had very good experiences overall with the Venezuelan resellers.

I agree I bought my Ikari Warriors and MotoRodeo from SA and had no problems. Also saved a ton. Got them for like 30 total NIB.

The unfortunate part is the 2-3 month shipping period until you get your game, lol...
