Metal Ghost
Can I get some help from someone perhaps with Photoshop? I'm trying to get the RGB and/or CMYK values for the Legend of Zelda box....specifically the gold background and red contained in the box. I tried to do a color sample, but once I have created a swatch the color that's saved looks VERY washed out compared to the sample I'm working off of (which I downloaded from the coverproject.net). I'm not sure if there's something going on in the sampling process or something else. Thanks!
Metal Ghost
I'm confident that someone knows this or can find out

Metal Ghost
Taken from this :- http://www.thecoverp...p?cover_id=2476 Thanks for the reply Groovy. No, I have the actual colors....got them from the cover project too, actually. The problem I'm having is that when I color sample them within InDesign and get the RGB numerical values, and subsequently use those Swatches in a spread, they look VERY washed out. For 'Zelda Gold', after sampling the cover that I downloaded from the Cover Project, RGB values it returns are 187/149/84. For 'Zelda Red', it's 229/11/24. If someone else can sample those in InDesign, or Photoshop, or anything else I'd like to see if for some reason my values are coming back incorrect, or if it's showing up as washed out for some other reason. I'll also try to take and attach a screenshot to show what I'm talking about.
GroovyBee
Are you sure that your app's gamma correction is set up correctly?
Metal Ghost
Thanks....I enabled color management and it appears MUCH better now. I hadn't realized that it was not enabled by default.
Brian O
There's also a bunch of RGB to CMYK converters like this one and this one. Some of these give you pretty accurate results, as long as you have a good RGB sample to work from. -B
